Templewood is a Community Primary School where the Early Years Foundation Stage & Key Stage classes have up to 30 children.
The school has generous space and accommodation and is housed in a Grade 2* listed building which in 2011 celebrated its sixtieth anniversary.
Our EYFS classes consist of a class teacher and full time Early Years Practitioner. Depending on cohorts we may have additional adult support.
In KS1, alongside our class teachers, we have Teaching Assistants (TA) every morning. In the afternoon, the TA is split between Year 1 and Year 2.
In KS2 our class teachers are supported by TAs for half a morning.
At Templewood, we provide the pupils with a voice through a variety of means including School Council, buddy systems, assemblies, questionnaires and circle times where the children are able to raise concerns as a group and on an individual basis. We nurture relationships between the youngest and the oldest through the buddy scheme and the use of reading partners.
